"The music on Hannes De Kassian's SENSA is firmly rooted in a Fusion-fueled groove. Wah-wah pedal and slap bass are key ingredients in De Kassian's musical casserole particularly on the opening "24/7". Also integral to his sound are the judicious use of guitar effects and a heady enthusiasm for rock-inflected lines. Fortunately he varies these elements across the compositions, allowing the group to circumvent falling into a competitive rut."

"As a second lead voice, Seeley's fluid brass is an effective tool in keeping the group moored in Jazz-based waters. His frequent solos build off a clean tone and an agile melodic facility to great effect. Holding down their end of the fort, the team of Torres and Castelli routinely lock down a solid, but malleable rhythmic groundwork and ensure that the principle soloists always have a steady floor to stand on.... they succeed in hitting the target that they appear to be aiming for.
